Green hydrogen in the energy paradigm of the future

The challenges to the hydrogen economy include the integration of systems, the creation of supply infrastructure and the acceptance of consumers

Hydrogen could contribute to less dependence on external energy, particularly if it´s produced from renewable sources such as hydro-electric, wind and solar energy, which is currently undergoing major developments in Portugal. However, it will need to be viewed as an alternative source with a specific market share in the future and not as the only means of generating energy. Despite the fact that the use of hydrogen as a commercial source of energy source is still in the early stages, major steps are being taken on a daily basis to guarantee the sustainable use of this fuel in the economy.
