Five films for us to rethink our role on the planet

Now the world has been brought to a standstill due to social isolation, this is a good time to reflect on what we can and can't do for the planet. Five films to watch at home and react to, chosen by film critic Rui Pedro Tendinha

Rui Pedro Tendinha, the presenter of the Cinetendinha programme on SIC Radical and the critic for the cinetendinha.pt website, grabbed the remote control and, with the environment and resources in mind, accessed streaming platforms and video clubs to choose five films capable of making us reflect. After all, what is our role in relation to humanity? To what extent can what we did (or didn't do) yesterday have an impact on what the future holds? This is undoubtedly a good time to reflect on the future of humanity. From a Japanese cartoon to a Leonardo Di Caprio documentary, here are five ways of viewing the world in which we live.
