Mobility of the future

The Porto Customs Congress Center recently opened its doors to another edition, the third, of the Hybrid and Electric Motor Show, an event that once again featured Galp as a main sponsor

Public interest in finding out more about hybrid and electric automobiles gave rise to the emergence of the Hybrid and Electric Motor Show, which has been striving to “demystify” the reality of these vehicles, still unknown to many, for three years.

Over a three-day period from 18 to 20 October, more than 16,000 visitors were given the chance to take a close look at the most recently launched hybrid and electric cars, test drive different models and attend seminars and workshops geared to the theme of sustainable mobility.

In turn, sales of hybrid and electric vehicles have been increasing exponentially, and the number of charging stations in the country has also gone up. The typology and disclosed presence of the network of these stations is, moreover, one of Galp's priorities, as a means of meeting the needs of an increasingly demanding market.

With the exhibition area having doubled, the third edition of the event also hosted the second Sustainable Mobility Trade Fair and CIFMOB - International Conference on the Future of Mobility, which this year addressed the topic of Self-Driving Vehicles and the impact of the same on the life of cities and citizens.
