SINGULARITYU IN PORTUGAL

Portugal is the fourth partner country of Singularity University (SU), joining the expanding global network of partners involved in this project, and which already boasts the presence of SingularityU Nordics, SingularityU Netherlands and SingularityU Canada. SU collaborates with leaders from the aforementioned countries as a means of disclosing its programme to local executives, businessmen, politicians and entrepreneurs.

SingularityU was created based its founders' conviction that the biggest global challenges consist of major concurrent opportunities to shape a new world. In order to develop this idea, Diamandis and Kurzweil decided not to create a university in the ‘traditional’ academic sense, but a think-tank to enable new ways of thinking to flourish, to change paradigms and to foster new learning experiences in a global and interconnected ecosystem.

Galp is one of the founding members of Singularity University Portugal and has joined this format to create new educational programmes focused on the technologies and areas with the greatest impact on the country's energy sector. This partnership is designed to promote and encourage Portuguese innovation, fostering the association between good ideas and emerging technologies on a global scale.
